As a civil engineer and small business owner, I have hands-on experience in infrastructure and economic development, crucial for our district. My work with Union Pacific Railroad has prepared me to tackle national transportation challenges. My education includes Southwest Texas Junior College and TEC de Saltillo, providing a strong foundation in technical and international matters. I’ve served through the Del
Rio-San Felipe Lions Club and the Knights of Columbus, proving my commitment to our community.
Our campaign believes that individuals and families should have the ability to make their own healthcare decisions. This includes important and deeply personal choices regarding women’s reproductive health. We are committed to ensuring that everyone has access to the information, resources, and options they need to make the best decisions for their health and well-being. Advocating for policies that prioritize patient empowerment and transparency, aiming to create a healthcare system where individuals and families can confidently navigate their healthcare choices, including those related to reproductive health.
I support increasing the number of federal judges at the U.S.-Mexico border to expedite immigration cases and reduce backlog. Helping ensure that individuals seeking legal entry are not left in prolonged uncertainty. It’s vital to address the current backlog and accelerate the process, while still following a thorough evaluation, for those already waiting for legal status.
I’m also advocating for a merit-based pathway to legal residency for individuals who have resided in the U.S. for over five years and have demonstrated their commitment to the American way of life. These individuals should be prioritized in our immigration system.
We also believe that it is crucial that visa programs at the southern border include educational components to prepare immigrants for life in the United States. This education should cover basic laws, such as the legal drinking age, minors’ rights and protections, labor laws, and where to report abuse or exploitation. Immigrants should be
fully informed about American laws and culture to facilitate their integration and ensure their human rights are protected.
Additionally, I strongly support establishing citizenship for undocumented veterans who have served in the U.S. military for over four years. These brave individuals have already shown their dedication to our country and should be granted the full rights of citizenship. For deported veterans, I advocate for immediate citizenship and their return to the United States. These heroes deserve to be recognized and welcomed back to the country they served.
As a Congressman, I will advocate for reforms to the practice of the U.S. Supreme Court. While I do not support changing the fundamental structure of the Court, I believe that reform and regulation are necessary to ensure that the Court remains a fair and balanced institution.
To prevent the abuse of power and the profiting from the position of Supreme Court Justice, there must be transparency in their actions and decisions. It is essential to create a process that holds Justices accountable, ensuring they serve with integrity and without undue influence.
Our campaign supports domestic policies that drive innovation, support small businesses, and create jobs while reducing excessive regulations. We advocate for strategic infrastructure investments, including the development of a high-speed railroad to boost connectivity and facilitate economic growth across the country.
Internationally, we propose the creation of an international national park in collaboration with our southern neighbors. This initiative aims to enhance tourism, protect the environment, and stimulate the economies of border communities.
In addition to these efforts, we believe in the importance of protecting U.S. investments abroad. We must establish a robust system to support American businesses and
citizens who fall victim to corruption, extortion, governmental opposition, or dictatorial regimes in foreign countries. This system will ensure they are not left vulnerable.
We also support the new trade agreements, but we emphasize the need for stringent regulation to protect American interests and ensure fair practices. Trade must benefit both our economy and our workers, and it is essential that these agreements are enforced properly to avoid exploitation and maintain our global competitiveness.
The Electoral College presents challenges that need to be addressed. The biggest issue is that many politicians are closed-minded and lack a vision for the future. The Constitution, written over 200 years ago, was a remarkable achievement, but we must consider how it can guide us another thousand years into the future. We must think not just of tomorrow but of future American generations.
I advocate for reforming and regulating the Electoral College vote, rather than replacing it, to ensure it remains relevant and effective in our evolving democracy. Respecting the integrity and wisdom of our forefathers while adapting to the needs of modern society.
As strong supporters of the Second Amendment, we believe in protecting the right of law-abiding citizens to own firearms. However, we recognize the need to balance this right with public safety. Regarding bump stocks, we advocate for thoughtful regulation that addresses safety concerns while respecting constitutional rights. Our focus is on ensuring responsible firearm ownership and enhancing public safety without infringing on individual freedoms.
As a Congressman, I will advocate for the national adoption of the bipartisan gun reform legislation passed in Florida in 2018. This legislation balances gun rights with the need for increased safety measures, and it demonstrates how both sides of the political spectrum can come together to protect our communities.
